Fat you nerd!! Its a 64 C4 stock pan.. I dont want to over fill it before starting it up It would be good to know.. Thread starter fordconvert Start date May 28, Anyone know the fluid capacity of a rebuilt C4 with the stock pan and dry converter? My book says 7 quarts but it dont say if thats with or without converter.
Seems like not enough but than again it is a little transmission. Titleist16 Well-known member. Well I don't know how many quarts it holds but always put atleast 1 quart in the torque converter before installing it. You never wanna install it dry. Just short of 8 quarts seemed to do it but I dont have any brakes so I didnt get a chance to do more than a carefull run around the block. Click to expand I found a differnt place in the 66 manual end of transmisson section after the C6 part that said 7 quarts 22 oz which is about what I used so maybe the factory book is right??
Whoda thunk? The way its running I dont need the brakes. If I felt safe to take it out I would get some fresh gas and do some tweaking on the motor but so far the parking brake is all I got.
