I began to tremble and nearly fall on the wooden flooring of the apartment. The laptops surrounded my like a ritual, and soon, the keyboards began to melt into phorus and various other creatures Instead of simply running out of a door, I ran out of the entire apartment room.
I wanted to get out. The pounding in my chest grew bigger and bigger when I realized that I hadn't checked to see where my family was, and if they were even safe at all. Being the idiot I was, I made the foolish judgement to dare step back inside the "cursed apartment. Not only were the cloned laptops melted into that slimy substance, but my parents and brother had, too. Or rather that they've been "devoured" by those unnaturally large creatures. Because I was only 4 ft 10, they were a tower to me.
I was the stepping stone that they were definitely going to gobble up next, so I made the same move and ran out the door. Or at least I thought I did. For the next glance I had of my surroundings were of me in the air, falling from a four story tall apartment. My arms desperately tried to grab onto the creamy-colored bricks, only to lose that nonexistent grip, and be sent plummeting once more.
For the next few days, I was unconscious. And waking up didn't help either. My legs felt dislocated, my arms stung, and my head? I was incredibly dizzy. However, as soon as I had woken up, I was on a stiff mattress with lavender bed sheets. When I looked down at my limbs, I noticed that the injuries had all disappeared like they hadn't ever existed.
My yells were the screams of a wild protestor. My booming voice quickly spread through the house like a wildfire, and something had caught on fire. I heard footsteps come closer, slowly approaching the dining room. Then the living room, and then the stairs. The wooden, carpeted stairs creaked at every step. This part of the event takes place 4 years later, and I had mustered up the courage to open up the window and jump out of it. Luckily, there was a bush to serve as a small cushion, so I hurriedly sprung back to my feet and ran as far as they would carry me.
Tripping over a misplaced stump of cement, it sent me flying, and I eventually hit my head on the solid, blazing ground. I woke up once more, in the same bed, and my head pain was gone. I got up out of the warm bed, tightened myself up, and slowly but surely made my way to the staircase. This odd looking creature was at the brim of the staircase, gazing around. It's thin arms created an intimidatimg effect as they looked a bit like sharper tree branches.
I made the silly mistake of letting it look me in the eye, and in a flash, it came over to me. Face to face, it had jumpscared me. I woke in the same bed again. And that's when it occurred to me: I was stuck in an endless loop.
